Fusing modular sounds with guitar, and ‘random sound encounters’ with songwriting hooks, Herr Alt finds his groove linking guitar licks to EMF manipulation, and live bass lines to Octatrack sequencing. The result is singer-songwriter music, played on a range of modular synths, fueling something both electronic and organic. Alt-indie, but attractive to the festival ear.
