Hesper Payne formed in 2004 to make crushing doomed death metal inspired by the myths, legends and landscapes of north eastern England. Musically, Hesper draws melodic inspiration from classic doom bands like My Dying Bride and Cathedral, while channeling the weird earthy brutality of Morbid Angel. These influences are filtered through the bands unique identity to create songs that are the soundtrack to esoteric adventures in the antedeluvian wilds of northern England.
