Hey You!!

Meeting for the first time in a middle school cafeteria with Mickey rapping over John's spit-laden beatbox backbeats, Hey You!! has been in the works for several years between these two musicians, busy with their own successful, individual careers. While Mickey conquered the trap, house, and electro, old school rap space as Oh Snap!!, John spent his nights in clubs like the Hotel Cafe and Troubadour, winning fans with his acoustic guitar and his deeply personal, raspy-voiced tunes. John joined Mickey as the second member of Oh Snap!! for a while, crushing clubs across Australia and the US with their hybrid live DJ sets culminating in a run on the Creamfields Australia tour.

Fast forward to 2018; Mickey and John came to Australia to play the Sweat It Out! 10 Year Anniversary Party and started talking about making tunes together. Both avid party hounds, they knew they wanted to make fun tunes, but they wanted their new project to be different from Oh Snap!! They quickly put a few demos together and signed with Hussle/TMRW, keeping in line with their love for everything Australian. They've released a few bootleg remixes including ones for Calvin Harris, Billie Eilish, and Tame Impala and are excited to share their new tunes with the world.
