Hi Guppy! started in early 2018 when drummer/singer/songwriter Jacqueline Proctor (<a href="spotify:artist:75dqW38mCNfvNv9G3nqIE5" data-name="The Aquadolls">The Aquadolls</a>) and drummer Sam Mankinen (<a href="spotify:artist:57ct56Csq1GrYxG2PGFQOw" data-name="Melted">Melted</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:03uBJ08As5Y1VUH5b5tFV8" data-name="The Side Eyes">The Side Eyes</a>) came together and started writing a few songs out of some of Jacqueline's poetry she had written throughout the years. After several line up changes (including Jackie's cousin) and a demo release, Hi Guppy! joined forces with 2 of the members of Huntington Beach's <a href="spotify:artist:5frmrfF59T3d6h2l45EI2h" data-name="Joynoise">Joynoise</a>, tying together the line up that exists to be.
