Hi Ho started as a solo acoustic project of Chicago singer-songwriter Gillian McGhee. When her melodic punk band Turnspit started to gain some traction, she let <a href="spotify:artist:3QxA5rkdpgJFPv5eemeOuE" data-name="Hi Ho">Hi Ho</a> take a back seat until <a href="spotify:artist:334JH795dWoOTvOdbwBaDq" data-name="Turnspit">Turnspit</a> disbanded in 2019. Over the pandemic, Gillian intentionally reimagined what her next musical endeavor would be and decided to bring Hi Ho into its next era. With a fresh, full band lineup, this iteration of Hi Ho weaves together delicate deliveries and intimate lyrics with huge guitars and powerful vocals to create a sound that's moody, melodic and deeply emotive.
