Higher State Radio is a groundbreaking British new wave duo known for their innovative production sound, combining soulful guitar with authentic lyricism. The duo is made up of Italian producer and guitarist Riccardo Elisei, and Brighton rapper Alex Scott, known as “Scotty.”
Scotty spent most of his adult life as a chef but has been passionate about writing lyrics since he was 13. Riccardo was working as a waiter in London before he began hosting open mic nights to make a living. It was at one of Riccardo's events that the two crossed paths. Scotty's performance left a lasting impression on Riccardo, who suggested they start a collaborative project.
This marked the beginning of Higher State Radio, a duo that has since been captivating audiences with their unique blend of soulful guitar riffs and heartfelt rap.
