Highst was born and raised in the Bay Area, Northern California. The trend-setting, eclectic Hip-Hop culture in The Bay was a heavy influence, leading him to produce beats and write raps while still in high school. Highst continued to develop his skills while attending UC Santa Barbara; collaborating with artists and musicians of all kind, writing and recording daily, and performing live. During and after college, he recorded and performed with the group Greenize, releasing several underground projects and working with well-known Bay Area artists. Highst has continued to produce, write, and record in several genres. He works alone and with other artists, from those unknown to Platinum and Grammy-nominated.
