Risen from the depths of a bog in Riihimäki, Hiidenvirta draws its influences from a time when music came on cassettes, games on floppy disks, and books were the size of bricks.
Rooted in Finnish melancholy, Hiidenvirta blends the darkness of heavier metal with the grit of hard rock and the wistful beauty of retro Finnish evergreen music. Longing and the world beyond this one run through the music, approached with an old folk sensibility. The result is a melancholic take on the tradition of heavy rock.
