Hilary Burt

Hilary Burt is a British musician/producer whose jazz-tinged music is full of rich harmony and soulful rhythms. Two of Hilary's songs have been heard on Netflix/TBS 'Love Is A Poison' - 'When I'm At Home' and 'Let's Do It'.

Based near Worthing, Hilary records her music from home, working in Logic with her two Golden Retrievers laid out next to her! Since 2020 she has been producing, mixing and mastering her own songs which ensures she gets just the sound she wants.


Her distinct style incorporates vocal harmonies, playful melodies, strong dance rhythms, often flutes, and sometimes the trombone of her husband jazz player Mark Bassey. Her cross genre music has hints of jazz, folktronica and alt pop. She also writes music for her 8 piece group, 'Hilary Burt's Blue Calluna', as well as big band charts for the Sussex Jazz Orchestra in which she plays alto sax.


Hilary is also a dyslexia tutor and has been working with children since 1986. She feels lucky to be able to do both her teaching and her music in her working day.
