HILLTOPS ARE FOR DREAMERS (HAFD) is a UK and Greece-based project that formed in 2018. They self-released their debut EP in January 2020, blending early 2000s metalcore with blues and catchy melodies, earning positive reviews. During the 2020 lockdown, they released the split EP A Transition with Repent For Joy, further evolving their sound. Their debut full-length album, In Disbelief (March 2022), marked a departure from their earlier style, incorporating black metal, acoustic blues, progressive elements, and electronic touches, while maintaining their post-hardcore roots. The album received critical acclaim, with Metal Hammer Greece rating it 8/10 and Rock Hard Italy giving it 8.5/10. In 2024, they released the melancholic 3-song EP The Tragedy of Being Human.
‘A Soulless Drive’ is their latest release, out on May 30th, 2025. It leans into a more direct rock sound, while remaining melancholic and anthemic.
