Hiqie, an Musician from Indonesia, explores a diverse musical universe encompassing hip-hop, rap, trap, and electro. From the beginning, Hiqie drew influences from instrumental hip-hop and alternative rap, while also incorporating elements of folk and indie pop music into his compositions. Hiqie also created an alter/side Project "Royqi" which is an indie/alternative music project which is another side of Hiqie, or can be called his alternate ego. If Hiqie is known as a multigenre musician, Royqi is present as a form of exploration that is more focused on the indie music path—presenting more personal and experimental works. Royqi is a new space for Hiqie to celebrate the distinctive color of indie, in a more narrative and directed nuance.
