Rising from the ashes of bands and drum kits past in 2008, HØLAS forged a fiery but minimalistic guitars and drums sound that went together like thunder and lightning and sometimes threatened to collapse the basement ceiling upon them. Northwest Indiana was barely the same. In March 2011, they released their sole album <a href="spotify:album:45P5jYhXTvyH6MF7PRamYK" data-name="Winter">Winter</a> on Brooklyn label Mecca Lecca. A timeless record that sounds amazing in a snowstorm, Winter rains blood and inspires both serene introspection and chair throwing in equal measure. The bear is dead. Long live the bear.
