Holographist was unknowingly and slowly taking shape when drummer Stefano Falcucci and vocalist/rapper Derek Valencia (a.k.a <a href="spotify:artist:00Xa3hO4xWbG6mujcRYWsH" data-name="D. Grymes">D. Grymes</a>) were jamming out with some mutual friends and met guitarrist <a href="spotify:artist:4FZrTyadZPdNAZ50Vs7EsJ" data-name="Diego Dipp">Diego Dipp</a>. They exchanged few words at first - and decided to let their instruments speak. Seconds into their collective improvisation, they realized something unique was there between the trio.
After exchanging numbers and various home reunions, the idea of writing together came up between Stefano and Diego, and they began working on a few demos. In search of a voice to compliment their intricate and fresh sound, they approached Derek with a proposal to join. He quickly accepted and began writing music along with them, creating a draft for what would become the opening track of their first album.
With a keen focus on unifying heavy rhythmic sections with meaningful, inquisitive lyrics, they wrote a second track titled "Elemental", which cemented the idea of a concept album. Thus, "No Gaps In Between" was born - a 12 track roller coaster exploring the musings of a troubled existence, and its inevitable progression into bliss.
