Hip-hop’s emerging cities have produced some of the most influential artists within music. New York City and Los Angeles have long been meccas in the rap industry, but Chicago and Houston continue to produce quality musicians. Atlanta is no different and rappers residing in the city have continually shifted the culture, and with Honcho_B, it looks like a new name will exist within the pantheon of Atlanta rap. Born and raised on the west side of the city known as SWATS, Honcho embodies his environment and brings out all of the light that shines within it. His sound meshes together influences from the 90s giants of old while taking cues from his local stars and splashing in his signature flair. It all culminates with Honcho’s debut single, “Time After Time,” a banger laced with bass-heavy production and a razor-sharp flow with a gritty delivery and lavish bars. Atlanta will shape the genre for years to come, and expect Honcho_B’s name to be on everyone’s tongue during those discussions!
