Albertan duet Honey Eyed blends sounds of country, pop, and folk together through contrasting-yet-complimentary vocal timbre. The pair’s sound has been described as an intersection between First Aid Kit and The Civil Wars. Danielle & Megan met during their first years of teaching at an art school. The pair became fast friends, bonding over their shared interests in music, performing, and songwriting. Formed in the Spring of 2023, the duo began performing for their students, showing them the impact music can have throughout their learning. This led them to branch out of the classroom, and into the Calgary Music scene, playing shows, open mics, and house shows. Honey Eyed is a feel good duo that captures audiences with rich harmonies and dynamic takes on covers, sprinkled with their expanding repertoire of originals.
