Hoodoo Wells was formed in the summer of 2011. Their music developed out of a shared passion for roots music: from blues and country to folk and reggae. Even today, with a sound that is very much their own, these origins are unmistakably present in every song.
Their debut album, 'Grits and Rarebit' is a clear expression of the many influences that make up the sound of Hoodoo Wells. It was written and recorded over a period of 18 months and was released on 8th March 2014.
'Independence', the sophomore album, builds on the sounds of 'Grits and Rarebit', but is a darker, more introspective album. Recorded between Italy and the UK, the album was released on 4th July 2016.
The third Hoodoo Wells album, 'All That's Left', was released on 18th September 2018. A shorter album, it is made up of the covers (with one exception!) that were on the Hoodoo Wells' set list at the time.
'Shuffle Play', the band's fourth album, dropped on on 1st July 2022. An album of love and loss, joy and anger: sit back, relax, and let the music take you away...
