Horses & Joy

Horses & Joy is a folk duo formed by Beatriz Tucci and Felipe Duarte. The two young musicians started playing together back in 2012, but only started writing their own songs a while later, finally giving birth to this project. Hence, Horses & Joy officially began in 2017, intending to be nostalgic - as they are very inspired by traditional folk singers, especially from the late 60’s/early 70’s, with a major influence from artists like The Everly Brothers, Simon & Garfunkel, The Beatles, Crosby Stills Nash & Young -, but also innovative, as they put their own creativity to their music. Therefore, Horses & Joy emerged in the last year as a duo with simple but also sophisticated songs, all of them containing notable harmonies.
The duo has recorded one EP - Sunflower Sessions - that was written by the two young singers and guitar players. Recorded live, the atmosphere of the album transmits an organic, authentic, and very energetic vibe. It also has an beautiful art cover, by the Spanish artist Angels Lefou. Sunflower Session is available on the main digital platforms, and introduces Horses & Joy definitively in the folk scene.
