Hot Curl is an indie//psychedelic//surf rock band based in Brooklyn, NY. It's members include Prescott Horn (Vocals, Synth, Guitar), Justin Lisa (Drums), Alejandro Triana (Guitar) and Sharif Mekawy (Bass & Vocals). They formed in late 2015 and have so far released two EP's, 2016's "Beached" and 2017's "Late Bloom".
They are active in the Brooklyn/Manhattan indie rock scene and have played shows at venues including Mercury Lounge, Brooklyn Bazaar, Alphaville, Gold Sounds, Good Room, Knitting Factory and more. They are currently at work writing material for a tentative full length album in the near future. Their sound has been compared to bands such as DIIV, Beach Fossils, Tame Impala and Allah Las.
