“Alchemists & Imaginaries” our new EP. A reach into the Electronica realm, where our debut single “Midnight Blooms” has been reimagined by the producers DJ Mysterioo Arif, Ahmed Zainal and Fadal Nazir (PapaPush). Hotboxgroove is an alternative collective from Bahrain. They fuse elements from Blues, Jazz, Soul, Funk, and Psychedelic rock. Using their sound they have created a transcendental experience for the listeners.
Ryan John: Drums, Sunny Salis: Guitars, Joshua Pandit: Vocals/Synth, Ryan James: Bass, Szabi Nigo: Trumpet and Khalil Qureshi: Guitars.
The members of the band became known as Hotboxgroove in Bahrain. Guitarist Khalil Qureshi arriving from Austin, Texas, knew the bassist Ryan James around the local music circuit. Ryan James also had been in other bands with the drummer Ryan John and guitarist Karl Roderick. Szabi Nigo and Joshua Pandit met the other members at a practice session for another music project and from there on were invited by Khalil Qureshi to form Hotboxgroove.
The band has been creatively experimenting with their sound. Winners of “Debut recording artist of the year” award at Musivv awards 2023. They have performed at Bahrain Jazz fest 2020/2021/2022, 2023. Bahrain Formula 1 2022/2023 and other music festivals.
After successfully releasing the first single “Midnight Blooms” the band has now released their second single “Gutbucket” a blend of psychedelic Soul and Funk rock.
