House of Waves is Giulia Poppy and Andrea Marzilli, formed in Rome in 2024. The duo came together through a shared desire to play and exchange ideas, bringing with them years of individual experience and distinct musical identities. What began as a simple collaboration soon evolved into a deep creative connection, leading them to write the original songs that will shape the debut EP of House of Waves.
Giulia is a singer and songwriter who lived in the UK, where she joined the electronic band You Love Her Coz She’s Dead. Her musical background blends alternative rock and electronic influences, and over the years she has fronted several projects as both a lead vocalist and songwriter. Her lyrics often reflect her personal experiences, while at times drawing inspiration from the lives of those around her. Constantly in search of unusual harmonies.
Andrea is a music producer and sound artist from Rome. His musical approach is defined by emotional perception in the absolute moment of creation, where acoustic primordial elements of the surrounding world and sonic vibrations of electronic instruments meet. The result is a composition that is just as articulate as the thought from which it sprang, but immediately transforms into a simple, rich dialogue between notes and rhythmic movements.
