Howie Payne is a singer, songwriter, guitar player and producer from Liverpool England who came to widespread recognition with the successes of his legendary Liverpool group cum solo project The Stands, with whom he released four top 40 singles across two albums (2004’s debut ‘All Years Leaving’ and 2005's ‘Horse Fabulous’). Shelving The Stands name in 2005 Payne has released two 'official' albums under his own name beginning with 2009's Ethan Johns produced 'Bright Light Ballads', and follow up 'Mountain' in 2017. Howie Payne's new 4 track EP 'In Dreams' was released 15th May 2020.
