Howles is a sibling singer/songwriting duo from Victoria Australia. Leaning heavily on the shared experience of growing up on the beaches in Torquay listening to ‘70s and ‘80s rock and pop and wholeheartedly embracing Synthwave, Luke and Rachel ‘Bambi’ Batterbury began pooling their musical identities just as Covid hit the Australian shores. Luke’s prowess as a multi instrumentalist and producer acts as the grounding force for Bambi’s free-spirited lyrics and songwriting style. Testing the waters of sibling collaboration, the folk track ‘King of California’ was released in 2021. Reassured by the sibling co-writing process, disco/yacht-rock tracks ‘70-something’ and ‘Some kind of Jesus’ soon followed. The pair continue to experiment with genres and eras as their latest track ‘Air’ is released in July 2022.
