HXG, the Atlanta duo comprised of Meechie and Beno!, deliver a unique blend of street rap and mystique, crafting music that feels like a glimpse into the future. Their breakout track “Rockstar Trapper!” in 2021 marked the start of their rise. The two became friends after meeting at a basketball game, and while their early lives were shaped by the streets, they eventually honed in on their craft, blending sharp flows, experimental production, and a rapidly growing global fanbase.
Raised in Zone 6, they drew inspiration from local legends ranging from Gucci Mane and Future to OutKast. Early releases showcased their signature sound, and a studio session Problemchild led to meeting Playboi Carti. Their track “SSN” ultimately secured a deal with Opium, setting the stage for their debut project, Snotty Hill.
Since then, HXG have built momentum with tracks like “5unna,” “Lifestyle,” and “Uzi Work,” amassing over 137 million streams. Their debut album, I5U5WE5, was hailed as “the sound of the future,” earning sold-out tours across North America and China. In 2025, they expanded their run with Homixide Lifestyle 2, led by “Free Agents” produced by Pi’erre Bourne, and joined Carti on The Antagonist 2.0 Tour.
Up next, HXG takes the stage at Rolling Loud this spring while working on new music. For Meechie and Beno!, music is not just a career — it’s a way to make a lasting impact. As The FADER says, “It’s clear their rise is unstoppable and will be very loud.”
