NZ's biggest campy Popstar 'Hybrid Rose' has been making waves in the underground music scene with her loveable nostalgic style. Her playful bubblegum pop aesthetic creates a distinctive frequency that cultivates cantankerous textures and sugar-high bubblegum debauchery. Hybrid takes influence from Charli XCX, Aqua and Spice Girls.
In 2016, she debuted her first single, 'Video Games', which would go on to achieve success on TikTok with 50+ million views from being used in 15,000+ TikToks to date.
Her follow-up ‘Plaztique’, a collaboration with Dan Konopka from the Grammy Award-winning band ‘OK Go’, was licensed for Season 3 of Māori television show “Ahikāroa”.
