Hailing from North London's Tottenham neighbourhood, Benjamin Bates, professionally known as Hyde Original, is a talented music producer and sound engineer who is setting the UK music scene ablaze with his unique and electrifying sound. Growing up in a community steeped in urban music, Hyde was exposed to a variety of musical styles from a young age, including Rap, R&B, Soul, Funk, House, Neo Soul, Dancehall, Reggae and Alternative Rock. Hyde was influenced by the likes of Timberland, whom he sees as a pioneer in his art form and Michael Jackson, whom he admires not just for his music but also for his performance skills and ability to create hit records.

It was in his teenage years that Hyde Original discovered his passion for creating music. At age 16, he started making music for fun and played on various pirate radio stations, where he was a frequent visitor. He was introduced to the music production world through his social circle of friends who were older and already involved in the music scene and was given a copy of music production software. He began as a beat maker and eventually evolved into an engineer, constantly honing his skills and pushing the boundaries of his creativity.

Hyde Original’s innovative approach to music production sets him apart from others in the industry. His music is a fusion of different Amapiano styles with his own unique twist.
