Noah James is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and songwriter from San Diego CA, whose bold and innovative music challenges the boundaries of mainstream and experimental.
After releasing his debut EP, <a href="spotify:album:1lkNNSLcGHutj4Cp2AvrJl" data-name="GRIEF EP">GRIEF EP</a>, the abstract and utterly devastating body of work resonated with listeners worldwide. Months after, he released his debut album <a href="spotify:album:17gFjwbJNVqm5c07MrbD6u" data-name="Capital">Capital</a>. Building off the sound of his previous work, his debut album was a full-fledged cinematic odyssey, many praising the analog textures of the LP. In late 2024, he started rolling out his next LP, <a href="spotify:album:0KzNIFNoX4LvCGTkkXuEO1" data-name="THE BLUE TAPE">THE BLUE TAPE</a>. The single <a href="spotify:track:5Od7HFubGkBvfYZawWtL7g" data-name="ILLUSION">ILLUSION</a> released to mixed reviews, as it was a bold change from the artist. Many delays would come towards the project, and it was ultimately shelved for a late 2025 release.

The industrial, bold & aggressive sound of the LP changed HYDRO’s audience, and garnering a whole new one altogether. Later that year in June, the highly anticipated <a href="spotify:album:0KzNIFNoX4LvCGTkkXuEO1" data-name="THE BLUE TAPE">THE BLUE TAPE</a> had finally arrived, with the hit single <a href="spotify:album:2xOAYA4sho8u9z43LPH5tq" data-name="DANCE 4 ME">DANCE 4 ME</a> featuring <a href="spotify:artist:1DnFldylsVNF03DniNazIq" data-name="Emily Tressa">Emily Tressa</a>. The final tape of the trilogy, <a href="spotify:album:7dP96TGzizGU6xqGvarFvD" data-name="THE AMBER TAPE">THE AMBER TAPE</a>, came shortly after in September.
