Hailing from San Antonio Texas, the Hydrolic Sno-Men formed when two rebellious 14 year old cousins Jimmy Harrell and Stacey Freddie unhappy w/the "establishment" started a band. They recruited Shane Reeves and Ronnie Rodriguez from the caged-in smoking hut of East Central High School and the Sno-Men were ready to roll!
It was 1984 pre-grunge & their aggressive style of playing was not accepted by the mainstream. The fast distorted guitar along w/double bass drumming served up a rowdy feast and their songs screamed of usual punk fodder; Coming of Age, Rebellion, Suicide, Drugs, Revenge, God, Cars & of course Girls. Gigs often incited fights and destruction of property. Nonetheless, they quickly became local party favorites, spawned the Skate Society, interviewed & played frequently on San Antonio College Radio, landed on the Taco City Rockers compilation album and became San Antonio's opening act of choice for touring bands such as M.O.D., The Exploited & Danzig. The bands raw live performances along w/their Frosty's Dead (Remastered), remastered here, has garnered the guys much earned street credentials throughout Texas.
Today, many credit the Hydrolic Sno-Men for some of the best moments of their lives. While each member has embarked on their own music adventure, singer Jimmy Harrell as The Vic Dean Band, bassist Stacey Freddie of BIGWOOD, drummer Shane Reeves as 90 watt roger, it is with fond appreciation for how their journey began.
