Hyness is a "melodies rule" guitar band from Kitchener, Ontario consisting of cosmonauts Amy, Marcus, and Colin. Playing in the styles of Breeders, Everly Brothers, and Guided by Voices, the band's commitment to time-honoured saccharine boy/girl vocal harmonies, shimmering guitars and classic power pop songcraft will have Can-Rock enthusiasts questioning how they could have overlooked Hyness in the heyday of Much Music and CFNY. The answer is because they didn't exist, but with a recent clutch of singles recorded and produced by co-conspirator Jose Contreras, it is entirely possible that a tear in space-time has occurred.
