More than just an artist, Hypa Rhymes is on a mission that's bigger than sales or recognition. He sees himself as a messenger with a unique ability to make heart to heart contact through self expression. He doesn't want his legacy to be that of an entertainer, but as a healer.


A native of Brooklyn, Hypa grew up a neighbor to the epicenter of hip hop. Combined with his lifelong love of writing, the foundation for his musical career is built on solid ground. Exposed to an eclectic mix of music that includes hip hop, classic rock, alternative and various contemporary sounds, his seeds are planted in fertile soil. Dedicated to honing his craft, all that's left is paving his own lane.


While he's a soon-to-be success story, his darker chapters complete the tale. Loved ones and peers falling victim to drugs and violence. Struggles with anger, anxiety and depression. His battles with self medication. Gifted, but not without flaws, clouds from self doubt transformed him into a rain maker. He can speak to your insecurities because he's felt your pain. To understand that is to understand his journey.
