After arriving on earth some time after Pokemon became popular, the two members of Hyperfine quickly
assumed the shapes of a gangly stick-figure with a bad haircut; and... whatever the other one is.
Some time later, they noticed people typically enjoyed vibrations in a variety of scenarios, and took
up guitar and bass guitar (which on average has less strings, and therefore isn't as good). Their first
carefully-arranged set of sounds was recorded and released in 2017, engrossing and enthralling at least
10 different people.

After a short stint abroad, the pair discovered 'jazz' and 'city-pop', genres which
involve learning to play the saxophone on a roof in night-time Tokyo while feeling very sad. Finding it
difficult to see what they were playing at night, the pair went back and tried this on their original
guitar and bass instruments instead. The result was the album 'The English Way', released in 2019, which
people on the internet referred to as 'lofi'. Although not sure, they think this means 'low fidelity', and
I'm sure if you give it a listen, you'll agree with that.

"I think that Hyperfine is built on 3 pillars of warm, free-flowing bass, a colder, more methodical, electronic sound design/soundscape, and finally Rowan's aspect of intricate, melodic guitar
There's other stuff too but they're the main things I think of" - me mate AJ
