Hypnosister is a space age rock music artist based in Leeds, UK.
Following his departure from Leeds based psyche-grungers Allusondrugs, Damian Hughes launched his new fuzzed out space pop project, Hypnosister. Combining the fuzzed up, spaced out guitars of My Bloody Valentine with the huge rock choruses of Nirvana and the heart wrenching lyricism of Neutral Milk Hotel, Hypnosister makes an masive noise that is as striking as it is unforgettable. Having released an EP, several singles and played a slew of shows last year, Hypnosister has already attracted the attention of the likes of XFM's John Kennedy, Punktastic and Upset Magazine. 2019 will see Hypnosister hit the road bringing it's own brand of space rock to cities across the UK and beyond.
"Damian Hughes has launched a brand new, brain melting space rock project Hypnosister, and it’s here to stand out" – Upset Magazine
"Killer alt-rock vibes all-round, as per" - Soundsphere Magazine
"The fuzzy pop of Wolf Alice, raw power of Nirvana, and atmospheric shoegaze of My Bloody Valentine. You need this in your life!" - Leeds Music Scene
"It’s a glorious noise, fusing layers of guitars, perky drums and pop melodies like a boss." - Listen With Monger
