I Monelli

"I Monelli" were formed in Turin, Italy, in the early '90s, when two brothers Vinci and Anto decided together with July, their cousin to play punk rock. After some time they recorded the first demo "I Monelli", 10 songs of fast and melodic punk rock, with italian lyrics. A few months later six of these songs were made part of the 7'' "La Mia Ragazza è una metallara" .
After a break and a change in the line-up with Luca (vocals, bass from Bombardini) instead of July, the guys recorded "Stupida Storia d'Amore", released as DIY CD. To promote the release, the guys played around almost all Italy, until the band didn't play anymore as "I Monelli".
Only the reunion-show of the 2008, gave the desire to the two brothers to go back into the studio to record a new album. This happened in December of 2010, when they recorded "Il Tempo Non Ritornerà". Since October 2011, Andre joined on bass: with the line-up finally complete, the guys came back on stage, to promote the last album and also revive old classics of the band.
After a few of gigs around the North of Italy, in April of 2012 returned to the studio to record two new songs that will end in December of the same year in the cd-split "Wargames" . The same 2 songs, in May of 2013, ended up in a 7'' with friends Goonies.
During April 2014, for Ramones 40th Anniversary, the band released a cover of Ramones classic hit: Judy is a Punk for "1​,​2​,​3​,​4 I Cretini saltano ancora: An Italian Tribute to the Ramones".
