I, Shapeshifter

I, Shapeshifter is a 3 man project of Instrumentalist Mike Hall, Vocalist Travis Gunnels, and orchestral curator Cody Howe. Deathcore from their roots, with nuances from newer age Metalcore and Deathcore acts such as Wage War, Chelsea Grin, Call The Mothership, In Dying Arms, and many others alike.

Struggling to become known and heard, Mike created a post on a Facebook group page asking if anyone was willing to collab on music with him. Travis, who just so happened to be a member of the very same group, seen the post and reacted to it, commenting that he was willing to provide vocals on a track that Mike had been working hard on. That particular track has now become known as the first released single for I, Shapeshifter, Hiding In The Deep.

While not being able to play any live shows or even meet in person, being that Mike resides in Washington and Travis in Michigan, I, Shapeshifter has become a solely online based project that will continue to grow, until someday the name will become widely known in the music world.

After being only a 2 man group from their first release, Mike and Travis decided it was time to bring some new ideas into the mix. Cody Howe was then invited in to create orchestral nuances throughout the new albums songs. So far, he has been an amazing asset to the band.
