Iako Bei

IAKO BEI is a project of a singer, bassplayer, song-writer and lyricist Roman Jakobej. What makes the music unique is its innovative and original interpretation of rock music where the rock's main instrument – a guitar – is absent. Instrumentally relying on drums, keyboards, bass with many pedal effects and saxophone, the songs take a wide range of inspiration from the 70‘s space prog, the 80‘s pop/art rock, the 90‘s alternative rock to the 2010‘s prog metal. This creates a challenging but enjoyable sonic cocktail for either open-minded people tired of gazillion copy and paste artists or simply those who have heard way too much music in their lives and are looking for something fresh and exciting.

The line-up of PURSUITS IN 1IFE (2018) consists of the award-winning saxophonist Nikola Bankov and a Slovak pop star, Karmen Pál-Baláž, on backing vocals.

PURSUITS IN 2IFE (2023) spawned 7 singles & 7 music videos and is slowly gaining the attention it deserves.

There is also a different album in works with <a href="spotify:artist:3rl2jzD0nDnlNEwRfOITMT" data-name="Lu-Banger">Lu-Banger</a> exploring different styles of pop. The singles will be appearing on both artists&#39; profiles.

On IAKO BEI&#39;s YT channel you can find lots of additional content such as studio documentary, track-by-track, music videos, the making of &#43; bloopers, sounds behind the record and live videos. Other videos include mostly music reviews and worst to best series focusing on promoting Roman&#39;s favorite music.
