December 4 in 2009 saw the birth of the independent audiovisual project iamamiwhoami, whom have since surprised, delighted and intrigued a worldwide audience with their audiovisuals . Before blogs & fans revealed that the front person and creator of the project is Swedish artist ionnalee with music producer Barbelle, speculation was rife as to who the artist behind iamamiwhoami might be. Trent Reznor, Goldfrapp , Lady Gaga , Fever Ray & Christina Aguilera were some of the suspects in the worldwide search.
iamamiwhoami has released 3 audiovisual albums; Bounty (2010), Kin (2012) and BLUE (2014). They created two large live concert installations online IN CONCERT (2010) and CONERT IN BLUE (2015) and toured the world. They won multiple awards for their audiovisuals and innovation: a Swedish Grammy ‘Innovator of the Year’, with nominations for two MTV O Music Awards in 2011 and winning the ‘Digital Genius Award’ in 2012. To date their videos have accumulated 85,000,000 views.
ionnalee of iamamiwhoami released her solo album REMEMBER THE FUTURE in 2019 following her 2018 solo debut EVERYONE AFRAID TO BE FORGOTTEN as well as embarking on her first world tour co funded by her fans. The tour sold out venues across the globe.
