Iamblaize

Hailing from bumfuck nowhere Ohio, IamBLAIZE, born Blaize Weatherspoon, began his music career in middle school as the drop-tuned guitarist in multiple crowd-kill heavy-hardcore bands. In time, those bands broke up, and Blaize was left with a massive musical void. However, two years ago, he began uploading beats to Facebook, built-out his first home studio, and eventually added vocals that mirrored his aggressive music tastes. Since 2018, he has released 150 songs on Soundcloud and Spotify with a total of 600,000 streams.

IamBLAIZE’s first music video drop of 2020 was the crowd favorite “If This Were Myspace Even Tom Wouldn’t Be Your Friend.” This in-house music production perfectly showcases his ability to channel life experience into different elements of his songs. Anger and adrenaline are felt through his boomin’ supercharged 808’s, while the lead synth mimics a warning siren imparting feelings of despair. These feelings are then amplified through his cleverly sinister wordplay. Many would think there is a specific person Blaize is speaking about in his lyrics. This may be true, but there is also another lens one can look through and find that sometimes he just wants to pummel society as a whole for treating him with such excessive disrespect.
