IAmFlamez is pretty self explanatory with the name. While he does make some of the hottest records around, the twenty-six-year-old emcee put in a lot of work inside and outside of the studio to get in the position he is now. It all began when he was a teenager in Aiken, South Carolina, as he fell in love with hip-hop culture and started writing lyrics down whenever he could. There was no question Flamez had the drive, but he was plagued by alcohol soon after and spent years battling addiction until he achieved sobriety at the age of 21. Now approaching music with a clear head, he began to blend hip-hop with a myriad of genres while making sure his pen game was one of the strongest around. Double entendres, wordplay, and clever one-liners soon came naturally to Flamez, and his debut album “Strangers” released in 2018 to a hungry fan base that has since streamed the records thousands of times across various platforms. The whole creative process has been therapeutic for him, and he feels indebted to hip-hop to pay it forward and help spark a fire in other people’s lives. He has finally put himself into a position to do so, and he will not let anything stop him now!
