When he isn’t working as a horse chiropractor, Ian Burns can be found with his guitar, crafting or recording his next song.
As a horse therapist and passionate horse rider, Ian lives and breathes the country lifestyle. This creates fertile ground for lyrics and stories to grow, which become the foundations for Ian’s heartfelt songs which reflect the lives of rural and regional Australians who also know how to party when the occasion calls for it.
The Macarthur, NSW, singer-songwriter began his recording career in 2014 and continues to work with ARIA Award-winning producer Simon Johnson at Hillbilly Hut.
Unleashing his latest feelgood single, The Climb, in October 2021, Ian has more singles on the way, leading up to his highly-anticipated album slated for the second half of 2022.
An award-winning singer-songwriter in his own right, in January 2021, he took home the Tamworth Songwriters Association Local Heroes Song of the Year for Think Again, co-written with Mary V I Harrison and David Carter, and Best Male Vocal in the 2021 Australian People’s Choice Awards.
Ian's recording career began when the authentic and genuine family man celebrated his loved ones with the release of his EP Good Friends in 2015 and shared his love of performing with his first album, Want To Sing coming in early 2016, both enjoying radio chart success. With an EP and two albums to his name now and another on the way, there are plenty of exciting times on the horizon for this inspiring artist.
