Born in Genoa, Italy, IANVA consists of eight musicians from different musical backgrounds driven by the ambition of breathing new life into the music of yesteryear, from Dark Cabaret to European Cafés mood of the '20s, '30s and '40s.
Folk Noir, '60s Orchestral Pop and Chanson flow with epic and highly visual compositions laced with touches of the finest of Italian film score composers (Ennio Morricone, above all), featuring a personal style, a unique retro-flavoured mélange with a hint of melodrama.
IANVA has performed live, alongside some Italian and European gigs, in some of the most important European Festivals (Wave Gotik Treffen, Summer Darkness, Entremuralhas) as well as at historic landmarks, known for cultural events - sold out concerts at “Il Vittoriale Degli Italiani”, Teatro Farnese, etc.
