Just as a moth is naturally drawn to light, Icarus Moth is drawn to sound. With only a few releases, the Brooklyn-turned-Colorado producer, composer, and pianist has amassed 30M global streams and charted #1 on Bandcamp’s indie r&b charts for his 2024 EP “MUTAMELIOR”.
Icarus Moth’s unorthodox approach to music and disregard for genre has led him to collaborate with far-reaching artists and brands, including MOTHICA, Ehiorobo, A R I Z O N A, MEMBA, and Crystal Fighters. Icarus Moth’s exploration of sonic textures has earned commercial recognition, including three Red Dot Awards for Commercial Music & Sound Branding in 2023. His ears have been lent to the likes of Mercedes Benz, MasterCard, Splice, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Kraft Foods, and Deloitte among others.
With a deep love for auditory exploration, Icarus Moth learned to produce at age 12 on the outskirts of Denver. The name Icarus Moth is an adept reflection of both that innate ear, so drawn to sound, and a human ambition to educate said ear.
