We promise it’s not just another band with “moon” in the name. Probably.
Icarus on the Moon is a passion project born from a chance encounter between two friends who once attended the same high school but never actually knew each other. Their shared love for indie pop and rock gave rise to a band with a warm, dynamic, and deeply personal sound, shaped by the interplay of male and female vocals. Their music could be compared to modern indie pop artists like The Favors, Daisy Jones & The Six, and Lizzy McAlpine, while remaining distinctly their own.
Emily sings like she means it (because she does), Dries answers with harmonies that make it feel like a conversation. Koen paints with his guitar, Michaël adds the heartbeat and David keeps everyone in time.
