The power of music can never be a cliché because every now and then, a real-life story forces the world to sit up and pay attention. For rising artist Icekold, music is what began making sense when everything else fell apart. Listeners can expect nothing but rhythm from a real place upon pressing play. Or as he says, &#34;I want people to hear the voice of a guy who found himself having to take up extra responsibility for his family after life suddenly happened.&#34; Taking to the mic first among a group which went by the name Cutefellaz, Icekold found an escape and a counterbalance to the harshness of his life in Benin City, Nigeria, where he spent his childhood and much of his adult life. After the group ran its natural course, he found himself and yet music refused to leave him be. This culminated in an alliance with Zimbabwean polymath <a href="spotify:artist:6Mx5a8s4JMh9kZQjj0P4i7" data-name="GtG Hvndsom3">GtG Hvndsom3</a> in early 2020 to work on a debut project. Armed with a distinctly rich voice floating on a eclectic sound-bed, Icekold promises fireworks.
