Ictus were a pop punk / Rock band from Leicester, UK. Formed in 2000 consisting of Aaron Murray on Guitar / vocals, Chris Byrne on Bass / vocals and Adam Gent on Drums / vocals. Influenced originally by late 1990’s to early 2000’s punk rock the band wrote and performed energetic punchy songs at their high energy shows around Europe and the UK.
They found success quickly and signed briefly with a major label. After touring with their album ‘Punk Rock for Girls’ the band decided to change their line up by bringing Adam up onto Guitar / vocals with Andy Winfield joining to take over on Drums / Vocals. As a 4 piece they continued to tour and recorded the album ‘The Grand Glorification of Sound’.
In 2010, after a decade together, Ictus decided to call it a day and went their separate ways returning to the stage 8 years later for a one off performance, releasing the album ‘One More Time’ a collection of singles, live recordings and previously unreleased songs.
