Swedish vocalist Ida LaFontaine is an exuberant performer with resonant vocal chops and a bent toward high-energy, dance-oriented pop. Born in Stockholm in 1997, LaFontaine started singing from a young age, and by the time she was four years old her parents had enrolled her in Sollentuna Music School. LaFontaine's vocal talents developed quickly, and in 2009, at age ten, she was invited to sing on former Swedish Idol contestant Måns Zelmerlöw's single "Hold On," which landed in the Top 30 on Sweden's pop charts. Two years later, she gained further exposure competing in Sweden's Melodifestivalen. The following year, she signed a record deal with Warner Music and released the single "Dancing 4 My Life." Her single "Yolo" appeared in 2013, after which she parted ways with Warner. Around this time, while continuing her studies at Rytmus Music School and the Scandinavian Dance Academy, she began building a large online fan base with her YouTube cover videos of songs by Olly Murs, One Direction, Ne-Yo, and others. In 2014, LaFontaine signed with Universal Music and released the single "Anthem." ~ Matt Collar
