Ifedayo means 'Love becomes Joy' in Yoruba, a language spoken in Westafrica.
2008 I came across the electronic music scene in Zurich, Switzerland. There was one specific experience that made me dedicated to Deep House. I attended a lot of party's where once a guest showed up in the Club with his Djembe and just started to play alongside the Dj's. I felt instantly, that I'm connected to this 'natural drum' sounds. In 2009, I bought my first equipment to DJ. But this unique sound I was looking for, didn't existed for me. I only came across a few artists like Robert Owens, dOP, Pablo Bolivar, Subb-An (just to name a few) that were creating the tracks I like.
2009 was also the first time I stepped into the motherland and it completely changed my life. I fell in love with the vibe, with the people, with their wiseness and their idea of life. 2012 was the first time I heard the term 'afro-house'
From there on nothing could stop me listening and discovering new tracks with so much joy. 2022 I bought myself some DJ equipment back and started to play in the village I come from. Later on I also got invited to play in Zurich, where I'm still having shows. I'm dedicated to push it, because I never lost that deep sense and connection all over the time. And with my music I want to cherish this culture.
During my break of DJing I studied Social Work and worked for my second passion. For changing air and to recover I use my time to do music.
