Ikarus is a Berlin-based music producer, DJ, and graphic designer, known for his raw and gritty sound in the Phonk scene. Closely collaborating with underground rapper Escape (Cakeboy), he has had a significant influence on the German Phonk scene and is recognized for beats that not only carry a unique signature but also display remarkable versatility. Often blending different hip hop subgenres such as Trap, Detroit and Jungle into the Phonk aesthetic, he creates an unmistakable style that pushes boundaries. Well-connected within the international Phonk and Trap community, Ikarus has worked with numerous artists worldwide and continues to expand his global collaborations. He is also a member of the US-founded Producer collectives Murder Posse and Pure Ice and the creator of Face Tha Phonk, a radar platform that highlights the freshest and most outstanding releases in the genre every two weeks.
