Ilaria Capalbo

Italian bassist/composer Ilaria Capalbo is equally at ease building hard-swinging lines and wreaking havoc on the whole sound-spectrum of her instrument. Her approach to playing has been described as “bold, visionary, architectonic” and her writing “lush”. Double bass, electric bass and electronics all add up to her sound palette.
