İlham

İlham's first engagement with music started in high school playing guitar and singing. His first appearance on stage was during his college years. This was the period when he first started composing and writing lyrics. On his return to Istanbul, he accompanied performers in various genres with his guitar as well as making stage appearances in Istanbul and different cities.

While focusing on solo and acoustic performances, he studied and read about storytelling and composition. He attended <a href="spotify:artist:1eY7YyYjc9jGnsHdJka906" data-name="Bülent Ortaçgil">Bülent Ortaçgil</a>&#39;s songwriting courses in 2014.

In the years he was growing up among the stories and tunes of the traditional poetry of Anatolia, he discovered melodies ranging from Victor Jara to Leonard Cohen and from Fikret Kızılok to Eric Clapton.This way he gained a rich insight and diversified viewpoint towards the exact same feelings.

İlham has waited a long period for his songs and lyrics to maturate. The song “<a href="spotify:track:1nhwW254BlNkptVskSBBDH" data-name="Toza Sor">Toza Sor</a>” (Ask the Dust) that is named after John Fante&#39;s novel, was the first story of this waiting period.
