ILLBrain 51fifty is a Montana-based rapper and co-founder of the Ski Mask Clique, a three-person group formed under the independent record label 4-Oh-Sick Muzik, that originally burst onto the scene in 2022 with their debut studio album "The Ski Mask," followed soon after by their sophomore effort "Back With The Mask,” both projects executively produced by ILLBrain 51fifty and $0UND$L!TBEATZ as a showcase of their collaborative prowess and musical vision.
Alongside fellow artist Sentinal and producer $0UND$L!TBEATZ, ILLBrain has been instrumental in shaping the group's signature sound, firmly rooted in the phonk subgenre of the wider rap/hip-hop canons yet also nodding to influences from classic Memphis and West Coast artists, as well as elements of jazz — together forming an unmistakably unique sonic identity that’s earned them a diverse and growing fanbase since their formation.
