Illien Rosewell

Illien Rosewell is an ornate Artist and Producer out of Norfolk, Virginia with a natural
love for music. His distinct delivery and keen sense for remarkable sounds charm fans
and electrify audiences. Growing up, young William White unearthed an interest in music
after winning an award for poems written in elementary school. Guided by sounds of A
Tribe Called Quest, Gang Starr, Jay Dilla and Busta Rhymes. Rosewell soon became
inspired to infuse his words with music. As Rosewell grew his influence and musical
style grew with him. Motivated by the self-driven rise of Jay Z, Fabolous and Kanye
West Rosewell began to produce his own sounds. From DNA to Ill Will the now
idiosyncratic Illien Roswell had risen. With a raw, organic sound and unique story of
progression Rosewell sought to reveal himself to the masses with his first major track
release. King; a misfit’s conviction to stand out above the rest cemented Rosewell’s
ambition and talent. His highlights came in 2012 working with Big Boi in Stankonia
Studios and a 2014 meeting at Atlantic Records with Shawn Barron. . Rosewell also highlights the
moment he realized his musical impact while at a Karl Kani fashion event. There he
discovered the designer’s son was a fan and wanted a photo with him. Excited by the
support and humbled in this moment Rosewell strived to refocus himself on his music.
